Highlights of 2015!

Another year comes to end, some of my highlights of this amazing year start when i was still at school in Roswell New Mexico, It was the start of my spring semester and i was starting my brand new internship at the Fairfield Inn and Suties Marriott. I met some really amazing people through that internship which landed me a job at local Marriott Residence Inn in Colorado. So it was a major blessing for me to be able to work for such amazing company. Another highlight of 2015 was Graduation from Eastern New Mexico with a trade certificate in the business program.

Another highlight for me was i discovered that i love taking pictures of different things in nature or around my community, I wanna keep that talent going so that i can get better at it. and i got a brand new bike this year which is amazing since i love to bike! and i needed an upgrade from the one i had before for 8years. I've also gotten the chance to travel some this year after i got done with school in July, i went to Boston to visit family which is always really fun for me since i love seeing my family. and visiting my grandfather and cousins as well.

I started a brand new job at the Residence Inn Marriott near home, which is really fun i love my job it took me a while to learn it but know that i know it its been much more enjoyable for me. I've also made some really good friends at my new job who are really great people which its always nice to meet new people!

I'm looking forward to what next year brings! its gonna a amazing year full of adventures!!!! Cheers to 2016!

What i'm thankful for......

My family has a tradition at thanksgiving of going around the room and each person says what they are thankful for. In the spirit of that tradition i wanted to take time to say what i'm thankful for this year.

One of the 1st things and most important things i'm thankful for is my family, they support me in everything i do, even if that means me moving to Roswell New Mexico for school for a year to continue to get my education. My family is an amazing group of people that i'm very lucky to have in my life.

Another thing i'm thankful for is my year at Eastern New Mexico University Roswell, it was a very good experience for me to continue to get my college education and met new people and have had an amazing internship at the Fairfield which opened a door for me to work at the Residence Inn.

In honor of Veterans Day, i want to say thank you to ALL the men and women who have served our country.

National coming out day 2015

Today is national coming out day, it's a safe day for GLBTQ people of any age. For me I didn't really have a coming out day .Instead I had a coming out process, which was very hard process.  I had limited resources to really know how to come out or what gay meant. I remember watching two different TV shows: one being Will & Grace where you had Will an openly gay lawyer living in New York and his group of fabulous friends. and another show was Queer as Folk that was about a group of openly gay friends living in Pittsburgh.
These shows were very important to me because it showed gay in an positive light. This predates the It Gets Better  project.
Overall my progress of coming out was a very positive one a lot of love and support from my family and friends.
I believe that the It Gets Better project needs to continue to make a difference for GLBTQ people who don't have support or are still in the closet, they need to have a positive outlet to feel supported and loved for who they are no matter what.
